Apple is rumored to launch its first touchscreen MacBook later this year, and new evidence suggests this is indeed the case.
A recent post from the Chinese leakster Instant Digital reinforces earlier reports that an upcoming MacBook will feature a touchscreen. While the leakster does not specify which MacBook model is in question, previous reports indicate that it is likely the MacBook Ultra.

To date, no MacBook has included a touchscreen; however, the latest macOS 27 Golden Gate introduces touch input capabilities for Sidecar, enabling the iPad to serve as a secondary display. Additionally, the new macOS version features touch-specific elements, such as pull-down to refresh in first-party apps like Safari, Mail, and News.
According to prior reports, the touchscreen MacBook will boast an OLED display with contextual menus and options tailored to the user’s touch interactions. There is also speculation that the device may incorporate a Dynamic Island cutout.
Apple is expected to release this high-end laptop equipped with the M6 chip. However, these enhancements may lead to increased starting prices, with estimates suggesting a potential 20% increase compared to current MacBook Pro models.
