Last week, Digital Chat Station shared a detailed specification list for the Redmi K100 Pro. Since then, the leaker has refined the information.
The most significant update pertains to the battery specifications. Initially reported to be 9,000mAh or possibly more, the latest update from DCS indicates that the battery capacity will start with an 8. This means it will range between 8,000mAh and 9,000mAh.
Although this may still mark it as the largest battery in the K-series, it is now uncertain. For comparison, the Redmi K90 Max—there was no “K90 Pro”—features an 8,550mAh battery.
Previously, the anticipated wired charging rate was listed at 100W; however, the new update introduces details about wireless charging, which will be set at 50W.
Digital Chat Station’s report on the Redmi K100 Pro (machine translated)The device will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The new leak mentions a "dual-core platform,” suggesting that it may include an additional chip like the Xiaomi D2, which was also present in the Redmi K90 Max and K90 Pro Max. This D2 chip enhanced AI capabilities, improving the graphics displayed on-screen.
The Redmi K100 Pro will sport an impressive 185Hz display, with gaming likely requiring support from the D2 or a similar chip to achieve such refresh rates. DCS refers to this as an “Ultra-clear display”, a term Xiaomi employs for its gaming monitors and televisions, although its precise meaning remains somewhat ambiguous.
In terms of camera capabilities, the phone will include a 200MP main camera and a 50MP telephoto camera capable of capturing macro shots. Additionally, it will feature symmetrical stereo speakers and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader. The device's design is expected to be completely waterproof, likely meeting the IP69 standard, and will boast an Apple-inspired aesthetic.
Moreover, there are also leaks concerning the Redmi K100 Pro Max, which is rumored to feature a 1/1.28” 200MP main camera and a 50MP periscope lens, alongside the yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, compared to the Gen 5 set for the K100 Pro. However, there are growing concerns regarding its pricing.
