Lucid is rolling out an over-the-air software update for its Gravity SUV, which introduces hands-free driving capabilities on compatible highways across North America.
This enhancement is part of Lucid's DreamDrive Pro, designed to make highway driving more convenient while ensuring that drivers remain attentive to the road. It can assist with steering, acceleration, and braking, and will change lanes autonomously when it's safe to do so. The system can also take the initiative to switch lanes to overtake slower vehicles.

Additionally, the update enhances Lucid Navigation by integrating the Google Maps Places API, providing richer and more contextual search results. Users can access improved business details, ratings, photos, and parking information. Charging station listings now feature more accurate real-time availability and updated images.
Another significant addition is the Adaptive Driving Beam, which improves nighttime visibility by maintaining high beams while dynamically adjusting their focus around other vehicles to minimize glare. This feature is available on the DreamDrive Premium and DreamDrive 2 Pro systems.
Other new features include Advanced Preconditioning View and Predictive Charging Power, offering greater transparency regarding battery temperature and anticipated peak charging performance before plugging in.
