A new set of renders for the upcoming Xperia 1 VIII provides an in-depth look at the device's finalized design. According to MyMobiles, these images are based on the same CAD data utilized by Sony's suppliers.

The front view showcases a familiar tall and narrow display, featuring an integrated front-facing camera positioned within the top bezel, adjacent to the earpiece. While earlier renders hinted at a possible punch-hole cutout, this latest design reaffirms the existing bezel style. The Xperia 1 VIII is expected to maintain a 6.5-inch OLED display.

Leaked dimensions indicate that the Xperia 1 VIII will measure 161.9 x 74.4 x 8.58 mm, which is slightly wider and thicker than its predecessor. Notably, the new square camera island will add to the phone’s thickness, reaching up to 11.37 mm at its most robust point—over 2mm thicker than the Xperia 1 VII.

According to earlier rumors, this design overhaul will accommodate larger sensor sizes compared to those in the Xperia 1 VII, including a new telephoto sensor ranging from 1/3" to 1/2". The Xperia 1 VIII is also rumored to launch in May with availability beginning in June, following the pattern set by last year’s model.
