Poco understands its audience, as evidenced by last week’s poll results. In this year's X series, the company introduced the Pro Max variant, which has successfully overshadowed the standard Pro model.

Poco X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max at a glance
The Poco X8 Pro Max appears poised for success, garnering an overwhelmingly positive response in our poll. However, some users criticized its camera quality, recalling the impressive 108MP shooter from the X5 Pro, and noted that it continues to use a USB 2.0 port. These criticisms also apply to the Pro model. Nevertheless, the Pro Max boasts a powerful chipset, a substantial battery, and a large display.

The Poco X8 Pro has its supporters, yet the poll clearly indicates a preference for the Max variant. Some users noted that the Max's size—featuring a 6.83-inch display and weighing 218g—can be unwieldy, whereas the 6.59-inch display and 201g weight of the Pro make it more manageable. The lower price point of the X8 Pro also contributed to its appeal.

Comments from the community revealed that many users found excellent deals on either the Poco X8 Pro or X8 Pro Max and were satisfied with their purchases. Overall, the X8 series has had a strong launch.
