According to the leak, Apple is collaborating with Samsung to develop a unique display for the 20th anniversary iPhone. This innovative screen will feature a quad-curved design without a polarizer, and the curvature radius will be specifically tailored by Apple.
After years of opting for flat displays, a trend that influenced the wider Android smartphone market, Apple is reportedly looking to reverse course with this new design. The introduction of the quad-curved display, previously utilized by some Chinese smartphone manufacturers, marks a notable shift in Apple's design philosophy.
While the new panel promises a more modern appearance and the omission of the polarizer will contribute to a slimmer profile, it is worth noting that this will not be the first smartphone to lack a polarizer.
