The upcoming flagship series from vivo is likely to be named the X500, as the company seeks to avoid the number 4 due to cultural concerns about tetraphobia. This series will succeed the X300 line.
Prominent leaker Digital Chat Station recently provided insights into the display specifications for the X500 family. While he did not disclose specific model names, he mentioned that one device will feature a 6.37-inch flat LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, while another will boast a 6.83-inch flat LTPO OLED panel with a 2K resolution.
Additionally, there is a third device that is reportedly still under consideration for launch. This model would possess a 6.59-inch flat LTPS OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution.
Assuming Digital Chat Station is not referring to the vivo X500 Ultra, which is expected to debut next year, we can speculate that the 6.37-inch display will correspond to the standard X500 and the 6.83-inch model will be the X500 Pro.
The naming for the intermediary device remains uncertain. It could potentially be designated as the FE, or alternatively, the larger model may adopt a Pro Max designation. Further details will be shared as they become available.
