The front design appears familiar, featuring a tall and narrow display with the front-facing camera integrated into the top bezel, positioned next to the earpiece. Earlier concepts had suggested the possibility of a punch-hole cutout, but that design choice seems to have been abandoned. The new renders indicate that the bezel width will remain consistent with the Xperia 1 VII, while the device is expected to keep its 6.5-inch OLED display.

The phone's new square camera island will contribute to an overall thickness of approximately 11.37 mm at the thickest point, exceeding the Xperia 1 VII by just over 2mm.

Additionally, a rumored launch date is set for May, with availability expected in June, mirroring the timeline of last year’s model.
