Nothing recently launched the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro, both equipped with the latest Nothing OS 4.1 on Android 16. The company is now rolling out the Nothing OS 4.1 update to the Nothing Phone (3), which previously operated on Nothing OS 4.0, also based on Android 16.
While this update does not include an Android version upgrade, it introduces the Essential Voice functionality announced earlier today. Users will also notice a new lock screen clock design, and Live Updates are now functional across various parts of the device, including the lock screen, notification panel, and Glyph interface.
The Essential Notifications UI has been improved, featuring clearer descriptions, and the update includes the April 2026 security patches. Additionally, users can expect enhancements to audio call quality when connected to Nothing audio devices, as well as increased video call stability for a smoother experience on third-party applications.
Further, the Nothing OS 4.1 update will soon reach the Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro, as well as the Phone (2a) series, Phone (2), CMF Phone 1, and CMF Phone 2 Pro later this month. The Phone (3a) Lite will receive the update in early May.
