In a recent update, Google has made significant changes to its Gemini image generator, addressing a common issue faced by users. With the introduction of new features, users can now remove the visible watermark from images, enhancing the usability of their AI-generated content.
Previously, many individuals were deterred by the prominent watermark located in the bottom right corner of images produced by Google's Nano Banana image generator. This was in contrast to the watermark-free images generated by ChatGPT's latest model. However, Google has now addressed this concern, providing users with an option to eliminate the watermark.
The feature is available in Gemini and Flow, and users can expect to see it in Google Search's AI Mode very soon. In addition to images, users will also have the option to remove watermarks from videos created with Gemini Omni and songs made using Lyria. The only limitation is for users in "countries where it's required by law to keep them."
It’s important to note that despite this positive change regarding visible watermarks, invisible SynthID watermarks and C2PA metadata will continue to be employed. Therefore, users can still inquire whether an image was AI-generated, and Gemini will provide accurate information.
