iQOO 16 Set to Feature Enhanced Display and Updated Design Elements
The upcoming iQOO 16 is generating buzz ahead of its September launch, with exciting rumors hinting at significant upgrades over its predecessor. With a focus on a superior visual experience, users can expect a refresh rate boost and a revamped aesthetic.
Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station has disclosed that the iQOO 16 will boast a 165Hz refresh rate, an upgrade from the 144Hz offered by the iQOO 15. This new flagship device will feature a 6.85" flat 2K display, sourced from Samsung, that aims to deliver a more fluid and responsive performance for gamers and multimedia enthusiasts alike.
While the overall shape and design elements like rounded corners and bezels show minimal modifications, the rear camera module has undergone a noticeable redesign. Instead of the previous layout, the new camera setup will be small, square-shaped, and positioned in the upper-left corner of the device, giving it a fresh look.

According to DCS, the iQOO 16 will be powered by the yet-to-be-announced 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro (SM8975) chipset, making it one of the most advanced models on the market.
Additional features speculated for the iQOO 16 include an impressive 8,500 mAh battery capacity, 100W wired charging, support for wireless charging, dual symmetrical speakers (1115 series), an X-axis motor for better haptic feedback, and USB 3.2 connectivity. Security features are also enhanced with a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and a dedicated graphics chip, potentially dubbed the Supercomputing Chip Q4. Furthermore, the device will reportedly come with an IP68/69 rating for dust and water resistance.
The primary camera is undergoing testing with a 50MP OmniVision OV50Q sensor, promising high-quality photography capabilities to users. However, for those hoping for a cooling fan in the device, DCS confirms that it's not in the cards for the iQOO 16.
