Huawei's Upcoming Non-Folding Smartphone Set for September Release

As anticipation builds in the smartphone market, Huawei is preparing to unveil its latest innovation—a non-folding smartphone that mirrors the successful Pura X. With a focus on a wide-screen experience, the new device is expected to launch in September, boasting impressive specifications and features that cater to the needs of modern users.

The upcoming smartphone is rumored to feature a 16:10 screen aspect ratio, powered by a Kirin 9-series chipset. Users can expect robust performance alongside an expansive battery capacity of at least 7,000 mAh, ensuring longevity for daily usage.

In terms of photography, the device is expected to include a 50MP main camera utilizing a 1/1.3" type sensor, complemented by a 50MP periscope telephoto camera and a multispectral camera, offering versatile shooting options. Although initially slated for a late 2023 launch, recent developments indicate that the phone is ready to debut earlier than anticipated.

Interestingly, Huawei's competitor, Oppo, is also in the works to release a similar non-folding smartphone with a screen size between 6.3" to 6.4" and a 16:10 aspect ratio. Oppo's device is set to feature a flagship chipset and a triple rear camera system, including a periscope telephoto lens, aiming for a first-half release next year.
