Meta has unveiled a modernized wordmark for Instagram, marking the first significant change in over a decade. The updated design introduces a fresh font and styling, while still maintaining elements from the original aesthetic. Users can now see this new wordmark prominently displayed at the top of Instagram's mobile applications.
Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, shared the news through posts on Instagram and Threads, explaining that the previous wordmark had been in place for ten years and was due for an update. He emphasized that the new design is "cleaner and more modern," reflecting the evolution of the platform.
