Introduction
As excitement builds in the tech community, new rumors surrounding the Fairphone 6+ have emerged, outlining its expected launch date and pricing details. This eco-friendly smartphone is set to offer significant upgrades compared to its predecessor, presenting a compelling option for sustainable tech enthusiasts.
According to the latest leaks, the Fairphone 6+ is slated for an official unveiling on August 18. The device is expected to be priced around €685 in Denmark, with the possibility of slight variations across different European countries due to varying VAT rates. Reports from France suggest that the recommended retail price (RRP) may be lower, at approximately €649.
This price point reflects an increase of €50 from the original Fairphone 6's launch price, and it is €100 higher than its current market price. Recent leaks indicate that the Fairphone 6+ will sport a 6.31-inch OLED screen featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, along with an impressive 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of expandable UFS 3.1 storage. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the device's 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 32MP front camera, all complemented by a robust 4,415 mAh battery with 30W wired charging support.
The Fairphone 6+ will reportedly be available in a new Cobalt Blue shade, a fresh addition highlighted in recent leaks. When compared to the Fairphone 6, which debuted in June of the previous year, the new model boasts a 50% increase in RAM, a more advanced chipset, and a stylish new color option—these are the primary enhancements announced so far.
