The Redmi K100 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series (SM8850-1-AB) chip, which is an optimized variant of the standard SD Elite Gen 5. The main difference lies in the GPU configuration, featuring an Adreno 840 GPU with two cores operating at 1.2GHz, as opposed to three cores at 1.3GHz found in the Pro Max.
The K100 Pro Max, on the other hand, includes the standard SD Elite Gen 5 processor, and both models are available with configurations of up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The differences extend to their displays, camera capabilities, and battery sizes.
The K100 Pro features a 6.56-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2,510 x 1,156px) and a smooth 185Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the K100 Pro Max boasts a larger 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,608 x 1,200 pixels and the same 185Hz refresh rate.
Regarding camera performance, both devices are equipped with remarkable 200MP main sensors featuring a 1/1.56-inch size. However, the K100 Pro Max is enhanced with a more advanced 50MP periscope telephoto lens (ISOCELL JN5) that supports 5x optical zoom, compared to the K100 Pro's 2.5x telephoto lens. Both models also feature a 50MP ultrawide lens with the Pro Max, whereas the Pro has an 8MP ultrawide camera. Additionally, both smartphones come with a Bose-tuned rear subwoofer for an enhanced audio experience.
In terms of battery life, the Redmi K100 Pro packs an 8,580mAh Si-C battery, while the K100 Pro Max houses a slightly larger 9,070mAh Si-C cell. Both models support rapid charging with 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 27W reverse wired charging capabilities. They also feature robust ingress protection ratings of IP66/68/69.
