Important Galaxy Phones That Will Miss Out on the One UI 9 Update

Source: Date:

As Android 17 approaches, Samsung is set to unveil its latest interface iteration, One UI 9. However, not all Galaxy devices will receive this update due to certain hardware limitations. This means that some of the most popular models, including flagship and mid-range phones, will miss out on the enhancements brought by One UI 9.

The new Galaxy S24 series—comprising the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra—will benefit from an extended seven-year support policy. This puts owners of the Galaxy S22 Ultra and similar devices at a disadvantage, particularly as their devices remain technically sound but won't receive future updates.

Users can look forward to an upgraded Internet Browser, which will include the "Ask AI" feature powered by Perplexity AI.
