The Vivo X Fold6 has officially launched as the highly-anticipated successor to the X Fold5, featuring significant upgrades. One of its most notable enhancements is the 200MP main camera, equipped with Samsung’s 1/1.4-inch HPB sensor. This same sensor is utilized in the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro telephoto cameras, indicating promising performance.

In addition to the main camera, the X Fold6 includes two additional sensors: a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Photography enthusiasts will also appreciate the device's support for the optional ZEISS Teleconverter G2, which provides a 200mm focal length.

Beyond its impressive camera capabilities, the X Fold6 is powered by a robust 7,000mAh Si-C battery, the largest capacity found in any foldable device to date. This represents a 1,000mAh increase over its predecessor and maintains the same charging speeds of 80W wired and 40W wireless.

The device is also enhanced with updated IP58/IP59 ingress protection, guarding against dust and high-temperature pressurized water jets.

The X Fold6 features an exterior 6.5-inch cover display with a 20.3:9 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. The main display measures 8.02 inches, showcasing a squarish 4:3.7 aspect ratio and also a 120Hz refresh rate. Both displays are AMOLED, with Vivo claiming a peak local brightness of 5,000 nits.

Under the hood, the Vivo X Fold6 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 Super chip, complemented by up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

On the software front, Vivo has equipped the device with OriginOS 6 Fold, based on Android 16. A standout feature is the new Atomic Workbench multitasking capability, allowing users to run up to five apps simultaneously, each in its own window.

The Vivo X Fold6 will be available in blue, white, and black colors. In China, pricing starts at CNY 7,999 ($1,175/€1,030 converted) for the 12/256GB variant and can reach up to CNY 11,999 ($1,763/€1,544 converted) for the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model.

Customers can now preorder the device through Vivo’s official online store, with official sales set to begin on July 1. Details regarding global availability have yet to be announced.
