Apple is rumored to be launching the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e in the upcoming spring. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared some intriguing details regarding these devices. In a surprising twist, both the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e are expected to come with 9GB of RAM.
This is not a mistake. They are said to utilize six 1.5GB RAM dies, contrasting with the iPhone 17's configuration of four 2GB RAM dies. Although this setup may seem unusual, it still represents a minor RAM increase compared to the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17e. Notably, the additional GB of RAM is anticipated to enhance the performance of Apple Intelligence.
iPhone 17In terms of RAM, the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra are expected to feature 12GB of RAM, comprising eight 1.5GB dies. The iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e will presumably be powered by the A20 chip, while the higher-end models will use the A20 Pro chip.
