In an exciting update, WhatsApp has unveiled its latest feature: incognito chats powered by Meta AI. Designed to prioritize user privacy, these chats ensure that the conversations remain confidential, with claims from Meta stating that not even their own team can access the contents of these discussions.
Meta has highlighted that competing AI chatbots fail to provide the same level of privacy, as their developers can still monitor both the incoming questions and outgoing answers. In contrast, WhatsApp's incognito chats are said to be managed in a highly secure setting, devoid of any access from Meta itself. These conversations are transient, as messages are not stored and automatically disappear by default.
Looking ahead, Meta plans to roll out an additional feature known as "Side Chat protected by Private Processing" in the coming months. This innovative aspect will facilitate "private assistance with any chat, while respecting the context of ongoing discussions" without interrupting the primary conversation flow.
