Rumors from China suggest that the Redmi Note 17 will be unveiled in July, followed by the Redmi Note 17 Pro (and possibly a Pro+) later in July or August.
The Redmi Note 17 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC, a flat display with a "1.5K" resolution, a 50MP main camera, and a robust 9,000mAh battery. Additionally, it will offer water resistance, although the specific IP rating has not yet been disclosed.
Redmi Note 15 Pro+In contrast, the Redmi Note 17 Pro is rumored to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 SoC. It will also feature a flat screen with "1.5K" resolution and some level of water resistance. However, the Pro model will enhance its capabilities with a 200MP main sensor and a substantial 10,000mAh battery.
It's important to note that these specifications pertain to the Chinese models, and the global versions are likely to differ in some aspects. Historically, the global releases tend to arrive much later. Moreover, Xiaomi's decision to skip the 16 designation and move from 15 to 17 mirrors the naming convention they used for their flagship series last year.
