Intel Unveils Core Series 3 Processors for Affordable Laptops

Source: Date:

Following the successful launch of its Core Ultra Series 3 processors, Intel has introduced its more budget-friendly counterparts in the Core Series 3, omitting the "Ultra" designation. These processors are designed for cost-effective laptops aimed at consumers and small businesses that typically upgrade every five years.

When compared to five-year-old PCs powered by the Core i7-1185G7, the new processors offer improvements of up to 47% in single-thread performance, up to 41% in multi-thread performance, and an impressive 2.8 times enhancement in GPU AI performance. The Core Series 3 models are fabricated using Intel's 18A process node technology, touted as "the most advanced logic node developed and manufactured in the US."

The Core Series 3 marks Intel's first "hybrid AI-ready Core Series processor," capable of handling AI workloads with up to 40 TOPS. Additionally, these processors support up to two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Bluetooth 6, and Wi-Fi 7. Designed for all-day battery life, they offer up to 64% lower processor power consumption compared to the previous-generation Core 7 150U.
