The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, introduced last July, has seen an unexpected price increase in the United States. With the anticipation of its successor, the Galaxy Z Fold8, expected to debut in just a few months, many anticipated a price reduction for the current model to attract buyers. Instead, potential customers will face higher costs for certain storage options of the Galaxy Z Fold7.
Currently available in three storage configurations—256GB, 512GB, and 1TB—the Galaxy Z Fold7 was originally priced at $2,000, $2,120, and $2,420 respectively. However, due to recent changes, the price of the 512GB variant has increased to $2,200, while the 1TB model now retails for $2,500. Notably, the price for the 256GB version has remained unchanged.
This recent price hike for the Galaxy Z Fold7 could foreshadow an even steeper price for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold8, which is slated for a July launch. Given the rising costs of components, it appears that Samsung may have limited options to maintain competitive pricing.
