We are just days away from the global launch of the Xiaomi 17 series, which will showcase the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition. Notably, the Leica Edition will debut under a different name in international markets: the Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi.

While the name may be a mouthful, it should not be mistaken for the three previous generations of Leitz Phones developed by Sharp, which were exclusive to Japan.
The Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi has surfaced in live images on X.com, revealing some subtle design variations compared to its Chinese version. For instance, the black variant features a uniform design on the back, diverging from the two-tone style of the Chinese model.

Additionally, the Leica logo in the corner is rotated by 90 degrees, as is the Leica branding within the camera module. The mechanical rotating ring around the camera area maintains its original look and is expected to function similarly, enabling users to swiftly adjust focal length, exposure, and white balance.
