Samsung Galaxy S26 Charging Speed: Surprising Enhancements Ahead

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has been long expected to increase its wired charging capacity to 60W. While the S26+ will reportedly maintain a charging speed of 45W similar to the S25+, new rumors suggest that the standard Galaxy S26 will also see an upgrade to 45W, aligning it with the Plus model.

Although the practical implications for charging time improvements remain unclear, this enhancement is certainly a positive development. Both Galaxy S26 and S26+ models are speculated to feature the Exynos 2600 chipset, though it is uncertain whether this chipset will be available in all markets. In contrast, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The trio is rumored to be unveiled on February 25.

While the accuracy of this information is not confirmed, it is becoming increasingly necessary for Samsung's most affordable flagship device to surpass the outdated 25W charging in today's competitive market, where rivals have been offering significantly higher speeds for years.
