Xiaomi recently held a European launch event for the Redmi Note 15 series, during which it also unveiled its latest smart wearables: the Redmi Buds 8 Lite wireless earbuds and Mijia Smart Audio Glasses.
The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses resemble traditional eyewear but are equipped with dual speakers and quad microphones, allowing them to function similarly to wireless earbuds while adding smart features.
These glasses have touch-sensitive areas on the temples for controlling playback, adjusting volume, accessing your device’s voice assistant, and managing calls. Notably, Xiaomi has integrated a feature for real-time recording of calls and meetings, activated by pressing and holding the temple. Additional features include wind noise reduction and a privacy mode designed to minimize sound leakage.
Mijia Smart Audio Glasses
Available in three stylish designs – Brownline (€179), Pilot-Style (€179), and Titanium (€199) – all versions come with an IP54 ingress protection rating. The titanium variant is the lightest, weighing just over 27 grams (excluding lenses), while all designs have 5mm thick temples. They connect via Bluetooth 5.4 and support dual-device connectivity.
The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses feature dual 114 mAh batteries (one in each temple), which Xiaomi claims can provide up to 13 hours of continuous listening on a single charge and up to 9 hours of talk time. When it's time to recharge, the glasses utilize a proprietary magnetic charger that connects to the temples and ends with a USB-C adapter.
The Redmi Buds 8 Lite represent the latest budget-friendly option in the Redmi earbuds lineup. They are equipped with 12.4mm titanium-diaphragm drivers, Bluetooth 5.4 with dual-device pairing, and compatibility with AAC and SBC audio codecs. Additionally, Xiaomi’s Earbuds app provides 5 preset sound profiles along with a custom EQ mode for personalized audio tuning.
The earbuds also feature hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC), providing up to 42dB noise reduction along with specialized wind and call noise reduction capabilities. Battery life for the earbuds is rated at 8 hours of continuous playback, which can extend to 36 hours when used with the charging case.
The Redmi Buds 8 Lite are available in Black, White, and Blue, priced at €23.
