In a tech landscape increasingly dominated by folding devices, Huawei is set to capture attention with the impending launch of its latest non-folding smartphone. Building on the success of the Pura X, this innovative device features a wide-screen with a modern 16:10 aspect ratio, and it aims to deliver high-performance specifications tailored for demanding users.
Rumors suggest that the official launch is slated for September. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a highly capable Kirin 9-series chipset and boasts a substantial battery capacity of at least 7,000 mAh, ensuring that users stay connected for longer periods.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate its impressive camera setup, including a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.3” type sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and a multispectral camera for enhanced imaging capabilities. Initially expected to launch between October and December, the device has now been confirmed to arrive ahead of schedule.
In a parallel development, Oppo is also working on a smartphone that features a similar design, boasting a 6.3” to 6.4” screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio, along with its own flagship chipset and triple rear cameras, including a periscope telephoto lens. This device is predicted to launch in the first half of next year.
