Samsung Expands One UI 8.5 Beta Access to More Older Devices

Samsung has recently shifted its attention from the Galaxy S26 series launch to enhancing the software experience of its legacy devices. Following the introduction of the One UI 8.5 beta program for several older models, the tech giant is now broadening the eligibility to include even more popular phones.

More Galaxy Phones Join the One UI 8.5 Beta Program

  • Galaxy A55
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5
Additionally, the following foldable models are receiving updates to the beta software:
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6 - upgrade to One UI 8.5 Beta 2
  • Galaxy Z Flip 6 - upgrade to One UI 8.5 Beta 2
  • Galaxy Z Fold 7 - upgrade to One UI 8.5 Beta 3
  • Galaxy Z Flip 7 - upgrade to One UI 8.5 Beta 3

Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy A35 users in India can now enroll in the beta program. The remaining models are currently open for enrollment to users in South Korea. It is anticipated that Samsung will soon extend beta access to users in India, South Korea, the United States, and the UK for all participating devices. However, the timeline for a stable release of One UI 8.5 remains uncertain; the Galaxy S25 series is expected to receive the official update by the end of this month.

Highlighted Upgrades

Once enrolled, users will receive a notification prompting them to update their software, allowing for immediate installation of the beta once available. As with all beta software, it’s advisable to avoid using a primary device for testing purposes and to back up any sensitive data beforehand.
