Challenges with AT&T's New OneConnect Plan for Customers

Source: Date:

AT&T has rolled out its new OneConnect plan, designed to provide new customers with a bundled service that includes both wireless and fiber internet. While this offering is positioned as a fantastic deal with competitive prices and inclusive of taxes and fees, it has not been without its criticisms and limitations, especially from existing customers.

OneConnect: Exclusive to New Customers

Currently, AT&T's OneConnect plan is only available to new customers. This exclusivity has raised concerns among existing AT&T customers, who feel left out from benefitting from the new plan.

Another Limitation for AT&T Users

Another point of concern is that AT&T is currently not financing any new devices for customers who sign up for the OneConnect plan. In a competitive market, companies like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon need to go the extra mile to attract and retain customers.

Value Proposition

Despite its limitations, the OneConnect plan offers excellent value overall. If AT&T were to open this plan up to existing customers as well, it could significantly enhance customer retention and satisfaction.

Looking Forward

We hope that AT&T considers expanding the OneConnect plan's availability beyond new customers. Such a move could potentially earn them more goodwill among their existing customer base, which is increasingly in demand of innovative solutions.
