As the tech market continues to fluctuate, Samsung appears poised to implement price increases for some of its premium smartphone models. Following a rise in memory chip costs, the company is reportedly preparing to adjust the prices of its latest foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, along with the Galaxy S25 Edge. These changes are expected to take effect imminently, mainly impacting the South Korean market initially.
According to industry reports, Samsung will apply a price hike of approximately KRW 100,000 (around $65) for the 512GB variants of these smartphones. Additionally, the 1TB models may experience an increment of about KRW 200,000 ($130). Although the report primarily discusses South Korea, it remains uncertain whether this price adjustment will extend to other regions.
The recent launch of the Galaxy S26 series also showcased price increases across multiple markets, indicating a trend that could become more prevalent as production costs rise.
