As Apple continues to refine its iOS interface, the recent updates in iOS 26.4 beta 4 have caught the attention of users who have expressed concerns about the visual effects, particularly the Liquid Glass design. With an aim to enhance user experience, Apple is introducing new accessibility options that allow users to tailor the interface to their preferences, minimizing distracting animations.
iOS 26.4 beta 4 Enhances Accessibility with New Toggle
In the latest update, iOS 26.4 beta 4 introduces a new setting within the Accessibility menu, allowing users to disable another component of the Liquid Glass effect. The new “Reduce Bright Effects” toggle aims to eliminate various flashing animations that appear across the iOS interface.
One of the most noticeable effects occurs when selecting a text input bar, causing it to momentarily flash and sometimes render the selected text invisible.

Other manufacturers have also tried to mimic the Liquid Glass aesthetic; for instance, Realme UI 7.0 introduced a similar Light Glass Design, and Vivo’s OriginOS 6 presented parallels, although Vivo claims inspiration from flowing water.
