Google first introduced the Titan M2 security chip with the Pixel 6 devices back in 2021, and it has remained a staple in the Pixel 10 series. However, given that it has been over four years since its debut, an upgrade is long overdue.
Excitingly, rumors suggest that the Titan M3 will be launched later this year alongside the Pixel 11 series and the Tensor G6 SoC. While the specifics of the Titan M3 remain unclear, it is reportedly codenamed 'Google Epic,' which indicates significant enhancements compared to its predecessor—after all, such a name must reflect substantial improvements.

For reference, the existing Titan M2 manages secure boot processes, on-device encryption key protection, anti-rollback features, and lock screen passcode verification. It is designed to maintain its security even if the Android environment or the Tensor chip itself is compromised.
