Upcoming Poco X8 and X8 Power Leak Reveals Key Specs and Features
In a recent leak, marketing materials for the highly anticipated Poco X8 and X8 Power have been shared, revealing exciting specifications and features that hint at imminent launches. The new devices are expected to cater to diverse user preferences with impressive battery capacities and advanced camera capabilities. A rumor has circulated about Poco's plan to launch the X8 Power featuring a robust 10,000 mAh battery. Shortly after, a different tipster on X revealed supposed marketing materials for both the X8 Power and the awaited X8.
Interestingly, these devices appear to be rebranded models. Specifically, the X8 seems to be a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro, while the X8 Power looks to be a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. Despite minor variations, they remain similar in many respects.
According to the leaked slides, the Poco X8 boasts a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with peak brightness reaching 3,500 nits, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It features a main camera of 50MP with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 16MP selfie camera, and a noteworthy 9,000 mAh battery that supports 67W wired charging, as well as 22.5W reverse wired charging.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset. It will also be classified with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Poco has committed to providing four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates for the X8.
The Poco X8 Power shares the same display and main camera as the X8, but upgrades the photo capabilities with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 32MP selfie camera. Its 10,000 mAh battery supports fast 100W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging, alongside the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC powering the device. Similar to the X8, it will offer the same dust and water resistance ratings and software support.
The source of this leak indicates that the Poco X8 and X8 Power are expected to launch in India "by early September," suggesting that the release is approaching rapidly. Notably, both models are anticipated to be priced lower than the Poco X8 Pro.
