Samsung Showcases Innovative Privacy Display Feature for Galaxy S26 Ultra

Source: Date:

Last month, Samsung announced an enhanced privacy feature for the Galaxy S26 Ultra called the “new layer of privacy”. Recently, the company released a short video demonstrating this innovative privacy screen functionality, which allows the display to appear black when viewed from the side, ensuring privacy without compromising the legibility of the content for the user.

In the video, the entire screen is blacked out for unwanted onlookers when the Zero-peeking privacy toggle is activated. Notably, the phone offers per-pixel control, enabling it to obscure only notifications containing sensitive information.

Users will have the flexibility to manage this feature by manually toggling it on or off or allowing the device to adjust automatically, such as when the user is outdoors.

This feature's appeal has also caught Apple's attention; according to Ice Universe, it is expected to be integrated into MacBooks in 2029.

While some laptops, such as HP's Sure View and Lenovo's PrivacyGuard, offer basic privacy screen functions, they can only apply it to the entire screen rather than specific sections like the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
