Telegram has announced a comprehensive redesign of its Android app, enhancing navigation and search functionality for users.
A key feature of this redesign is the introduction of a new bottom bar, facilitating quick transitions between Chats, Settings, Profile, and various other tabs.
Furthermore, Telegram has entirely rebuilt the interface code to improve efficiency and responsiveness. Users can optimize performance and prolong battery life by navigating to Settings > Power Saving.
iOS users will also benefit from an updated media viewer, new preview panels for sticker and emoji packs, as well as enhanced context menus for user profiles and message selection. iPad users are introduced to a new keyboard shortcut for sending messages: ⌘+Enter.
For group owners, Telegram has implemented an automatic ownership transfer feature, which will designate one of the group’s admins as the new owner one week after the original owner leaves the chat. Additionally, group owners will receive a confirmation prompt upon exiting the group, enabling them to select a new owner. They can also transfer ownership to another member without departing the chat.
Moreover, Telegram has introduced a crafting system that allows users to combine collectible gifts to create Uncommon, Rare, Epic, or Legendary items featuring unique artwork and effects.
This crafting interface permits users to add up to four gifts, enhancing the chances of creating a desired outcome with each additional gift. Using multiple gifts with the same attributes further increases the likelihood of achieving those traits in the final product.
Collectible gifts can be bought and sold through Telegram’s Gift Marketplace.
Bot developers will also find improvements in the new update, with the ability to add emojis and colors to buttons, making interactions more intuitive and emphasizing specific actions.
To access these new features, users on Android, iPhone, or iPad must update the app through their respective official app stores.
