Realme P4 Power: Impressive 10,001mAh Battery Life & Fast Charging Features

Source: Date:

We have been working diligently on our Realme P4 Power review. After a brief exploration of its capabilities as a power bank, we return to our usual testing. The standout feature of this phone is undoubtedly its impressive 10,001mAh battery, which is our focus now.

Realme P4 Power

While we have encountered phones with similar or larger battery sizes in the past, the Realme P4 Power is distinct as it does not feel excessively heavy. It measures 162.3 x 76.2 x 9.1mm and weighs 219g, a standard weight for a device with a 6.8” display.

This 10,001mAh battery employs cutting-edge Silicon-Carbon technology, promising an eight-year lifespan with at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,650 charge cycles. This modern Si-C technology is indeed remarkable. Users can set charging limits between 80% and 95% in 5% increments, but with an eight-year lifespan, there's little incentive to do so; even at 80% health, this is still a substantial battery.

The Realme P4 Power battery life and charging tests are ready

The Realme P4 Power deserves recognition for topping our battery chart, holding a strong lead over the second-place phone. Most devices at the top of the chart are premium models; hence, we will only compare it with the current fifth-place phone, the OnePlus 15R, which is priced 70% higher than the Realme.

The Realme P4 Power achieved an impressive Active Use Score of 25:35. While there are devices like the Honor Win and OnePlus Turbo 6 with significant battery capacities, we have yet to test them. Instead, we have included several devices with 7,000+ mAh batteries, which largely do not compete.

Referring again to the OnePlus 15R, it has a 7,400mAh battery and achieved a noteworthy score of 21:36. The Realme 16 Pro+ also performs well, with a gaming time of 8:53h, though it's not great considering its 7,000mAh capacity, while its web browsing score of 21:18h surpasses many others.

With a 5,200mAh battery, the Moto Edge 60 offers scores that, while not bad, suggest it may not be ideal for users looking to go two days without a charge. For comparison, the Realme P3 Ultra, the predecessor to the P4 Power, features a 6,000mAh battery, which highlights how rapidly battery technology is advancing.

Large batteries necessitate rapid charging support to be functional, and the Realme P4 Power is equipped with 80W SuperVOOC and 55W USB PPS capabilities. An 80W SuperVOOC charger was used for our tests.

The Realme P4 Power supports 80W SuperVOOC charging

Considering that the P4 Power has a substantially larger capacity than other phones on our list, we anticipated slower charge times—but they were not as slow as expected. After just 15 minutes, the device reached 27%, comparable to the Redmi Note 15 Pro, which has a smaller 6,580mAh battery and slower 45W charging.

At the 30-minute mark, the P4 Power starts to fall behind its competitors. That said, a 45% charge is sufficient for daily use achieved in half an hour. For a full charge, however, you will need approximately 79 minutes. This is only nine minutes longer than the Honor Magic8 Lite (7,500mAh, 66W) and 26 minutes slower than the OnePlus 15R, which also utilizes 80W SuperVOOC, though with a considerably smaller battery and a higher price tag.

The most pertinent comparison is with the Realme P4 Pro. Priced at ₹30,000 for an 8/256GB variant available in India, it has the same 80W SuperVOOC charging system. Notably, the P4 Power's 10,001mAh battery charges 27 minutes faster to reach 100% compared to the 7,000mAh battery of the P4 Pro.

We have additional tests to conduct on the Realme P4 Power, so stay tuned for the full review. If you find its features appealing, Realme India will begin selling the P4 Power on February 5.
