Rumored Update for Entry-Level iPad: Apple Intelligence Support Expected This Spring

Source: Date:

Apple's latest entry-level iPad, released in March of last year, features the A16 Bionic chip along with 6GB of RAM. According to a new rumor from a reliable Japanese source, a refreshed entry-level iPad is expected to be officially announced this spring.

This upcoming device is anticipated to maintain the same design as its predecessor but will be upgraded with the A18 chip, which was first introduced in the iPhone 16, and it will include 8GB of RAM. This enhancement in RAM is significant, as it is likely the minimum required for supporting Apple Intelligence.

It appears that the improvements will primarily consist of the chipset upgrade and additional RAM, with no major changes anticipated in the low-cost iPad model. For those interested in understanding the features of the current model, be sure to check out our in-depth review.
