iQOO recently hosted the third edition of Prive Night in India, inviting YouTubers, influencers, and tech media to showcase the iQOO 15R, which is set to launch on February 24. We had the opportunity to get an early look at this smartphone.
The iQOO 15R marks the first 'R' model in iQOO's number lineup in India and is primarily targeted at young professionals seeking a compact smartphone that doesn’t compromise on performance, featuring a powerful chipset and a large battery.

The iQOO 15R will be available in two color options: black and silver with a checkered design. The black model is named Dark Knight, while the silver variant is referred to as Triumph Silver.
The Dark Knight version has a sleek, stealthy appearance that suits formal occasions well, while the Triumph Silver model is designed for a more casual look, with its checkered pattern visible under certain lighting angles.

In terms of camera design, the iQOO 15R features a camera island similar to that of the iQOO 15. It houses two cameras, with the primary camera utilizing a 50MP Sony LYT-700 sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS). The smartphone also sports a punch-hole display, with its diagonal size yet to be announced by iQOO.

Under the hood, the iQOO 15R is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC and features a robust 7,600 mAh battery with 100W charging capabilities, along with support for bypass charging.

We find the overall design of the iQOO 15R quite appealing. It is more comfortable to use with one hand compared to the larger iQOO 15. The construction quality is impressive, and the Triumph Silver variant is particularly striking.
While full specifications for the iQOO 15R are still under wraps, the brand has previously confirmed that it will include the Q2 Supercomputing Chip, a 6.5K IceCore VC Cooling System, and the ability to support gaming at 144 FPS in BGMI through frame interpolation technology.

The iQOO 15R will run on OriginOS 6 and will receive OS updates for four years alongside security updates for six years. The base price is expected to be below INR 50,000.
