Sony fans rejoice! The highly anticipated next installment in the flagship WF-1000X series is just days away. The company has officially announced a new earbud launch scheduled for February 12. This announcement follows the release of the LinkBuds Clip three weeks ago.
The previous flagship model, the WF-1000XM5, launched in 2023, making the arrival of its successors long overdue. Recently, a leak provided an early glimpse of the upcoming XM6 earbuds.

The new model is expected to feature an updated design, with the earbuds appearing wider than their predecessors and incorporating an additional microphone grille. It seems that the charging case will also be larger than that of the XM5s.

While detailed specifications are not yet available, we do know that the XM6s will offer IPX4 water resistance and will be released in at least two color options: black and silver. The anticipated retail price is expected to fall within the $300-$350 range.
