While Samsung has yet to officially release invitations for its event, leaks today have revealed that the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 will take place on February 25. This year, similar to last, three models will be introduced: Vanilla, Plus, and Ultra. Renders and key specifications for these devices have been surfacing for some time, with the latest leaks providing further insights. This article will focus on the Galaxy S26 and S26+, while details about the Ultra model will be discussed separately.
Only one set of renders has been shared for the Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26+, primarily because the only distinction is their size. The table below compares their unofficial measurements against their predecessors.
| Galaxy S25 | Galaxy S26 | Galaxy S25+ | Galaxy S26+ | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Display | 6.2” | 6.3” | 6.7” | 6.7” |
| Height | 146.9mm | 149.6mm | 158.4mm | 158.4mm |
| Width | 70.5mm | 71.7mm | 75.8mm | 75.8mm |
| Thickness | 7.2mm | 7.2mm | 7.3mm | 7.3mm |
| Weight | 162g | 137g | 190g | 190g |
| Battery | 4,000mAh | 4,300mAh | 4,900mAh | 4,900mAh |
The Galaxy S26+ shares identical dimensions to its predecessor, while the standard S26 will be significantly lighter than the previous model, maintaining the same thickness.
Notably, the Galaxy S26 will feature a slight increase in screen size to 6.3”, resulting in a taller and slightly wider chassis. The S26+ will retain the same 6.7” display, although it will reportedly utilize an updated protective glass.
There is a possibility that the base model will be upgraded to 45W charging, aligning it with the S26+, whereas the S26 Ultra may reach up to 60W for differentiation. Additionally, the standard model should have a larger battery, as indicated in the table, with an increase of 300mAh.
All S26 models are expected to support magnetic Qi2 and satellite communication. Furthermore, the standard model is anticipated to finally include UWB, a feature it has lacked for years, which is crucial for utilizing tracking tags.
Samsung Galaxy S26 (speculative renders)
While the renders currently available depict only a black variant, the Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26+ will also be offered in three additional colors: white, violet, and blue.
Recently, the S26+ (and S26 Ultra) were observed running Geekbench on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, although there remains uncertainty regarding the regions that will receive the Exynos 2600 version. It's worth noting that the base model will finally feature 256GB of storage, an upgrade that might come at a higher price point.
