The iQOO 15 Ultra is set to launch in China next month, and recent images released by iQOO have unveiled its design and color options. Notably, these images displayed the right frame of the device, which will include touch-sensitive shoulder triggers equipped with haptic feedback.
This information was confirmed by a Weibo post from iQOO's product manager, who revealed that the shoulder triggers will feature a 600Hz sampling rate and utilize two independent control chips to minimize latency. These triggers will also be sweat-resistant, with an innovative "anti-sweat" algorithm designed to enhance the user experience.

The product manager further elaborated on the benefits of the touch-sensitive shoulder triggers compared to traditional mechanical buttons. By employing a linear motor that simulates a press, consistency can be maintained even after prolonged use.
Additionally, these touch-sensitive triggers are expected to have an "almost unlimited" lifespan, avoiding the mechanical wear and tear associated with traditional buttons. They will seamlessly integrate into the phone's frame, reducing the likelihood of dirt accumulation, and will eliminate latency issues inherent in traditional triggers.

The inclusion of shoulder triggers aims to enhance the gaming experience, particularly for FPS games that typically require multiple on-screen controls. The ability to utilize presets and combinations with these triggers allows for smoother gameplay.
The product manager also noted that iQOO users are passionate gamers, and the iQOO 15 Ultra is specifically designed to cater to this demographic.
Prior rumors suggest that the iQOO 15 Ultra may include an active cooling fan and is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. Additional details are expected to emerge in the upcoming weeks.
