iQOO is set to launch the iQOO 15R in India shortly. While the brand has revealed some design aspects of the 15R, it has yet to disclose any specifications. Fortunately, Geekbench has provided insights into the chipset that will power the iQOO 15R.

The iQOO 15R, identified by the model code I2508, has appeared in the Geekbench database. It features an octa-core CPU, including two cores clocked at 3.8GHz and six cores at 3.32GHz. Additionally, the listing indicates an Adreno 829 GPU, implying that the iQOO 15R is built around the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC.

The unit tested on Geekbench was operating on Android 16 and equipped with 8GB of RAM. However, it is expected that additional RAM configurations will be available. In terms of performance, the iQOO 15R achieved scores of 2,590 in the single-core test and 8,423 in the multi-core test, along with a GPU score of 21,075.

iQOO markets the 15R as a smartphone that promises “power-packed performance with a perfect fit.” Rumors suggest it may share similarities with the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which was launched in China just last week.

If these rumors hold true, the iQOO 15R will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, offer up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, and run on OriginOS 6. It is expected to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1,260p. For photography, the iQOO 15R will have a 32MP front camera and a dual-camera system on the back, consisting of a 200MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera.

Powering the iQOO 15R will be a 7,600 mAh Si/C battery, supporting 100W charging. Additionally, the device will feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, reverse wired charging, and boast IP68 and IP69 ratings.
