The RedMagic 11 Air made its official debut in China today, merging the sleek design trends of lightweight smartphones with the functionalities of gaming devices. It features a distinctive transparent design, an active cooling fan with RGB lighting, and is powered by last year's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
In line with its predecessors, the RedMagic 11 Air showcases a full-screen AMOLED display that includes a 16MP under-display selfie camera and an optical fingerprint scanner. The display measures 6.85 inches diagonally, boasting a resolution of 1,216 x 2,688 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
This gaming smartphone also offers capacitive shoulder triggers and superior RAM and storage options. It is available with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, featuring a remarkable 9,600 MB/s memory bandwidth, and includes 512GB UFS 4.1 storage with read speeds reaching 4,200 MB/s.
With a thickness of just 7.85mm and weighing 207 grams, the 11 Air maintains a lighter and slimmer profile compared to other gaming phones, yet features a cooling fan capable of spinning at speeds of up to 24,000 RPM. Additionally, it holds an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
On the rear, the smartphone is equipped with a dual-camera setup, featuring a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.55” sensor and optical image stabilization (OIS), along with an 8MP ultrawide lens.
The device is powered by a substantial 7,000mAh battery, supporting fast 120W wired charging. It operates on RedMagic OS 11.0, based on Android 16.
RedMagic 11 Air in Quantum Black and Stardust White
Available in Quantum Black and Stardust White, the RedMagic 11 Air starts at CNY 3,499 ($502) for the 12/256GB model, while the 16/512GB variant is priced at CNY 4,199 ($602). Both versions can now be found on Nubia's online store, although an international release date has not yet been disclosed.
