Honor takes a unique approach, equipping the Magic8 Pro Air with high-end specifications, including a triple-camera system featuring a dedicated telephoto lens, an impressive 5,500mAh battery, and a display designed for optimal one-handed usability.

Honor Magic8 Pro demonstrates a remarkably slim design due to its innovative chassis structure.

In contrast to its primary competitors, the 8 Pro Air boasts a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,216 x 2,640 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak local brightness of up to 6,000 nits. Additionally, it features a 50MP selfie camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The Magic8 Pro Air is just 6.1mm thick and weighs 155 grams. It has a sleek aluminum frame and glass back, incorporating stereo speakers and a physical Nano SIM slot that accommodates two cards. An eSIM option is also available, and the device boasts IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance.

On the rear, a camera visor houses three sensors. The primary sensor is a 50MP shooter with a 23mm equivalent focal length, a large 1/1.3-inch sensor, an ƒ/1.6 aperture, and optical image stabilization (OIS). The second sensor is a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with a 74mm equivalent focal length, a 1/1.2-inch sensor, an ƒ/2.6 aperture, and 3.2x optical zoom, also featuring OIS. The third sensor is a 50MP ultrawide lens with a 16mm equivalent focal length, which also functions as a macro shooter.

Despite its slim profile, the Magic8 Pro Air includes a robust 5,500mAh battery, utilizing silicon-carbon (Si-C) anode technology, supporting 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The phone is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500, with options for up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It runs on MagicOS 10, based on Android 16.

Honor Magic8 Pro Air is available in four colors: Shadow Black, Fairy Purple, Feather White, and Light Orange. Pricing begins at CNY 4,999 ($717) for the 12GB/256GB model, rising to CNY 5,999 ($860) for the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant.

Sales will commence in China on January 23, although Honor has not yet revealed plans for a global release.
