With the upcoming launch of Samsung's first mixed-reality headset, Project Moohan, the tech giant recently showcased a range of innovative display technologies, including a high-brightness OLEDoS panel designed for VR headsets. This panel boasts an impressive 20,000 nits of brightness, offering enhanced resolution and pixel density for an immersive viewing experience.

These OLEDoS panels feature a unique silicon backplane instead of the traditional glass or plastic substrate, allowing for superior performance in terms of brightness and viewing angles. Samsung has paired this technology with a Micro Lens Array to further optimize the display quality.

While the specific panel size for the XR headset is yet to be confirmed, Samsung also showcased a flagship OLEDoS panel boasting 5,000 ppi, 15,000 nits of peak brightness, and a 120Hz variable refresh rate. Additionally, the company presented a range of other cutting-edge displays, including a White OLEDoS panel, QD-OLED gaming monitors, a Flexible Gaming OLED, and various foldable and stretchable display options.
