Oppo has officially unveiled its latest smartphone, the K12s, a follow-up to the Oppo K12 released last year in China. This new 's' model shares many similarities with the recently launched Oppo K13 in India but offers enhancements such as NFC support, additional memory configurations, and a unique color option, making it an attractive choice for consumers.

Oppo K13 vs Oppo K12s

Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC, the Oppo K12s features a 6.67-inch 120Hz FullHD+ AMOLED display and is backed by an impressive 7,000 mAh battery, offering 80W fast charging capabilities. The device comes pre-installed with Android 15 and runs on ColorOS 15, though it remains to be determined whether it will match the K13's software support of two major OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

On the camera front, the Oppo K12s boasts a dual-camera setup, featuring a 50MP primary sensor accompanied by a 2MP monochrome lens. For selfies and video calls, there is a 16MP front-facing camera. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and an IP65 water and dust resistance rating.

The Oppo K12s will be available in three color options: black, purple, and white, accompanied by four memory configurations: 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB. The pricing starts at CNY1,199 ($165/€140/INR14,000) for the base model and goes up to CNY1,799 ($245/€215/INR21,015) for the top-tier variant.
