Tesla Elevates Model 3 Standard with New Features and Improvements
Tesla has officially announced exciting enhancements to the Model 3 for its US, Puerto Rico, and Mexico markets, aligning with recent updates made in China. The integration of a larger 16-inch touch screen is just the tip of the iceberg, as the automaker also introduces several performance upgrades, including increased range and power output. While Canadian markets remain in suspense regarding these modifications, enthusiasts and potential buyers in the US and other regions are sure to benefit from these changes.
The upgrades mirror those revealed in the Chinese market, with the standout feature being the new 16-inch display that will now come standard across all variants of the Model 3. While the specifics regarding the screen's refresh rate and resolution were not disclosed in the announcement, the Chinese version indicated improvements in these areas.
Currently, a new gray interior option is absent from the US lineup, but the Model 3 Performance will feature a sleek black headliner in addition to a noticeable EPA range improvement from 497 km to 509 km. The vehicle’s peak power will now reach 528 hp, up from the previous 510 hp.
Moreover, the Model 3 Premium AWD has seen significant performance upgrades, achieving 0 to 60 mph acceleration in just 3.8 seconds, a reduction from the previous 4.2 seconds. The EPA range for this variant is now noted at 557 km.
