OnePlus Open 2 and Other Devices Reportedly Canceled, Leaker Reveals

In a surprising turn of events, renowned leaker Yogesh Brar has shared alarming news regarding the future of OnePlus devices, particularly the highly anticipated OnePlus Open 2. While the OnePlus Open received significant acclaim following its release, fans were eagerly waiting for its sequel. However, recent claims suggest that not only is the Open 2 unlikely to see the light of day, but several other OnePlus models may also be facing cancellation or delays.

After the successful launch of the OnePlus Open in 2023, which garnered praise from tech experts and users alike, expectations were high for a follow-up. However, a community post from OnePlus in February 2025 hinted at the disappointment to come.

OnePlus Open 2 — Likely Not Happening

As per Brar's latest insights shared on X (formerly Twitter), the anticipated OnePlus Open 2 is being shelved. Additionally, a report from Smartprix indicates that the Oppo Find N6, the device thought to have inspired the OnePlus Open 2, is set to debut in China this February, with a global release planned for March.

If these rumors hold true, the cancellation of the OnePlus Open 2 could notably impact the appeal of the Oppo Find N6. Brar also revealed there's a “90% chance” that the OnePlus 15s (internationally known as OnePlus 15T) will also be scrapped, mentioning a long list of other potential device cancellations that will be detailed soon.

Additional Device Cancellations Expected

While the OnePlus Open 2 is the focal point of this news break, Brar's commentary does not stop there. He mentions that the OnePlus Nord 6 lineup might also encounter delays. Previously anticipated for a global release in March following its launch in China as the OnePlus Turbo 6, such uncertainty now looms over its timetable.

For those disheartened by the suspected cancellations, alternative devices remain available. The prospective OnePlus Open 2 would have posed a compelling challenge to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, while individuals seeking mid-range options may consider the Galaxy A56. For strong battery performance, the Moto G Power (2026) serves as a commendable competitor to the OnePlus Nord 6.
