Built-in active cooling fans are currently gaining popularity in China, with numerous manufacturers unveiling devices featuring this technology. Now, it appears that Xiaomi is developing its own phone with a cooling fan, as reported by Digital Chat Station on Weibo.
This upcoming device will be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 SoC and will boast a screen with a "1.5K" resolution and an "ultra-high" refresh rate, details of which have yet to be clarified. The fan will be integrated into the camera island, and the entire phone will hold an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, despite the inclusion of a fan.
Redmi K80 UltraThis smartphone is likely the anticipated Redmi K90 Ultra, based on its chipset. Previous K-series Ultra models have selected MediaTek's latest technology. If this device is indeed the Redmi K90 Ultra, earlier rumors suggested it would feature a 6.8-inch LTPS OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, rounded corners, a metal frame, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and a minimum battery capacity of 8,000 mAh.
