Internal testing reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s new 60W charging can recharge the battery from 0% to 75% in just 30 minutes, according to Ice Universe. These results were achieved under laboratory conditions, likely at controlled room temperatures.
However, this performance may not be particularly noteworthy, considering it only represents a 15W increase over the Galaxy S25 Ultra. For context, in our review of the S25 Ultra, we recorded a 72% charge in the same 30-minute timeframe.
While the S26 Ultra is rumored to feature a larger battery, reports suggest it may only reach a capacity of 5,200mAh, an increase of just 200mAh compared to the 2025 model. Caution is advised, as conflicting information indicates that this year’s Ultra may maintain the 5,000mAh capacity of its predecessor.

Samsung has introduced a brand new 60W charger in anticipation of the upcoming flagship, which essentially confirms the new charging rate. Although not officially announced yet, there are discussions of an upgrade to wireless charging capabilities, moving from 15W to 25W, as well as the potential introduction of magnetic cases.
It is important to note that the 60W charging upgrade is exclusive to the Ultra model; the S26 and S26+ are expected to remain at 25W and 45W, respectively.
