Honor Magic8 RSR Porsche Design Unveiled in Promotional Image

In addition to the soon-to-be-released Magic8 Pro Air, Honor is preparing to introduce a new RSR Porsche Design model, positioning it as the premium flagship of the Magic8 series. This device was previously mentioned in rumors regarding its proprietary 1-inch type sensor featuring a variable aperture. We now have our first glimpse of the device, which surfaced on Chinese social media, along with additional specifications.

The Magic8 RSR is featured in a leaked promotional image alongside the rest of the Magic8 lineup, including the forthcoming Magic8 Pro Air. The Porsche Design variant can be seen in the bottom left corner, showcased in a striking purple hue.

This model is characterized by a "squircle" camera module that appears to accommodate three sensors. According to various rumors, the Magic8 RSR is expected to include a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with an f/2.6 aperture and an 85mm focal length, in addition to the 50MP main camera equipped with a 1-inch type sensor. The third module is likely to feature an ultrawide lens.

Furthermore, the Magic8 RSR is anticipated to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite chip, with up to 24GB of RAM. It is said to house a robust 7,200mAh battery with 120W fast charging capabilities, and the official launch is rumored for January 19 in China.
